Question:
I have a 2016 Nissan Leaf and am looking for a hitch. It seems like theyre available for the 2015 and earlier. I do know that there was at least one change during the years, but was wondering if a the 2015 would work or b will there be one specific to the 2016 coming out soon? I just want one for a bike rack and am ok with the ones that require some drilling/grinding as its an owned not leased vehicle. thanks

I checked with Curt and they offer the # C11396 as a confirmed fit for your 2016 Nissan Leaf so it would work well for you.
The most popular bike rack we carry that has been confirmed to fit this vehicle is the Swagman XTC2 Bike Rack part # S64670. This rack has a ton of positive reviews from our customers who have tried it. Check out the review video I attached for more info.
Curt requires the use of their stabilizer strap part # 18050 when using their hitch to carry a non-supported load like a bike rack. I attached a review video for you to check for the strap as well.
