Yes, the Curt # C57674 4 pole to 7 pole adapter mated to the Tow Ready # 118390 kit would be a good idea to convert your 4 pole harness to a 7 pole opening while still having use of the original 4 pole. What is neat about this adapter is the LED indicator lights on the side will display proper connections. I have heard of some brake controllers reading a trailer being present, when there is no connection due to the LED indicator lights. We offer a similar adapter, # ETBC7, to the Curt adapter that includes a mounting bracket and tester for the adapter but not the LED indicator lights on the plug.
