Solution for Trying to Install Programmer on Vehicle With Competitor Programmer Installed
Published 01/08/2016 >
Question:
I have a 2003 duramax diesel. Just bought an edge cs evolution programmer, but it says that my truck has already had a competitor programmer installed on performance. How do I set it back to stock so I can put the edge programmer in? I dont know what the last person used for a programmer

Expert Reply:
You can take the truck to a GM dealer to have them reflash the PCM back to stock or if you can track down the original owner you can find out what programmer they used and hopefully set it back to stock with it.
He wouldn't have been able to sell the programmer or use it on a different vehicle since they all lock to the VIN of a vehicle.
