What is the Space Between Hitch Pin Hole and Welded Stop Tab on Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch

Question:
Does this hitch require the use of a support strap like the Curtis hitch does? The reason I am asking is because the whole reason behind wanting to put a hitch on my mustang for a bike rack is so that I dont have to risk damaging my paint by using straps on the trunk. Also how deep is the weld stop from the end of the pin hole.

The Draw-Tite Sportframe Trailer Hitch Receiver # 24928 that you referenced will not require the use of a stabilization strap with a bike rack to comply with the hitch's warranty.
The welded tab inside the # 24928 trailer hitch measures 1.712 inches from the center of the hitch pin hole. I have attached a photo showing this measurement for you.
Class I trailer hitches like # 24928 are limited to carrying 2 bikes on a hitch mount bike rack. One of my favorite 2 bike racks is the Hollywood Racks Trailer Rider 2 Bike Rack Platform-Style # HR200Z. This rack has a ratcheting upper frame hook, push to release levers, and an anti-rattle hitch bolt. I have attached a review video of this rack for you.
I have also linked all of the hitch mount bike racks that we offer that will work with a Class I trailer hitch.
