Using 1 set or 2 sets of chains for your vehicle is more a matter of preference. Installing 2 sets of tire chains will provide the most traction for your vehicle. If you choose to only use 1 pair of chains, you will want to install them on the primary drive wheels.
I found that the owner's manual for your 2005 Chevrolet Trailblazer says that tire chains should not be used on the vehicle due to limited clearance. Rather than chains, a different style traction device can be used. I recommend checking your owner's manual to confirm this information.
If you would like to let me know the size tire on your Trailblazer, I will be happy to determine if we have an alternative traction device fit for your size tire.
If you decide to use chains on your Trailblazer in order to comply with local laws, you will want to test fit the chains on your vehicle before the first use. This will allow you to check the clearance of the chains on your vehicle. For chains that require the least amount of clearance, you will want to go with a Class S tire chain.
The Thule Standard Snow Tire Chains # TH01571240 you selected require 16 mm of clearance. Class S tire chains require 10mm or less of clearance.
I have attached a help article on tire chains for you.
