Compatibility of Weight Distribution on a V-Nose Trailer
Published 12/21/2015 >
Question:
Can you bolt this system to the frame. I have a v nose and want to bolt straight to side of frame bc I dont have the clearance above to hang bracket. Plan on taking it under v nose to get the full length bars.

If you have no room on your frame for the clamp around style brackets, I would recommend going with the # RP58305 brackets.
These brackets will bolt/weld onto the exterior of your trailers frame and be compatible with any chain hanger style weight distribution system like the Reese Strait-Line # RP66084. The Stait-Line is similar to the Curt TruTrack in that they prevent sway, but the Reese uses a dual-cam sway-control system that stops trailer sway before it begins. This is a significant improvement over traditional friction-style controls, which help to correct sway only after it has already begun.
If you could provide me with a little more information about your trailer weight and tongue weight, I'd be more than happy to help you pick out a setup specific for your needs.
