Question:
I currently have a Reese 16K slider installed from previous short bed on my 2013 F350. I just traded up on a heavier 18K RV requiring, I assume, an 18K hitch. Do I need to upgrade my Reese 16K slider to accommodate the heavier RV. If so, do I need to replace the rails also?

Expert Reply:
The Reese sliders like the part # RP50024 have a 20k capacity so you could still reuse the same slider that you have.
You can just purchase the Pro Series 20K Fifth Wheel Head Assembly, Head Support and Handle Kit, item # 30118, to go on the slider assembly, item # RP50024.
The rails don't have weight ratings, they are rated for the same weight as whatever hitch is installed on them.
