Adjustable Ball Mount Recommendation for Trailer Shopping

Question:
I have a class III hitch on a standard Toyota Tacoma prerunner2000. I dont have a trailer yet, but am keeping my eyes out for a light utility or motorcycle trailer approx 5foot x 8. I would like to know if there is a safe bet for a ball mount I could purchase. I dont know exactly what I need because I dont yet have a trailer. However I need a ball mount to purchase a trailer. Any suggestions for a ball mount that may be likely to work? Thank You.

Your absolute best solution would be an adjustable ball mount like the Curt Adjustable Ball Mount # C45900. This ball mount can do up to 6 inches drop and 5 inches rise and has both the ball diameters of 2 and 2-5/16 inches so it would allow you to basically tow any trailer home.
