The Base Rails for TracRac SR Sliding Truck Bed Ladder Racks, part # TH21501 is confirmed as a fit for the bed rails you have on your 2006 Sierra. These rails measure 77-1/2 inches long.
If you need the ladder rack that will work with the TA21501 rails I recommend part # TH43002XT. This ladder rack slides in the base rails and has quick-release knobs. This system has a weight carrying capacity of 1,250 lbs and the rack height is 25-3/8 inches.
