Can any kia vehicle be flat towed?

For Kia vehicles, flat-towing would depend on the models and how they are equipped. For example, a 2012 Kia Soul can only be flat-towed if it has a manual transmission.

If the 2012 Soul has an automatic transmission, a tow dolly like part # RM-2050-1, or a trailer is recommended. To be sure about the possibility of flat-towing any vehicle it is always a good idea to check the owner's manual or with the dealership. Many auto manufacturers have specific requirements for flat-towing their vehicles.

Jeffrey, you sound just the man for us to ask this question. We have a KIA Niro hybrid, automatic transmission. Flat tow or dolly? Thanks.

@DavidC Hey David, I know I'm not Jeffrey but I can also be just the man for this question! From what I could find it looks like you'd only be able to pull your Niro with the front wheels off the ground using a dolly, but even that isn't necessarily recommended. Kia would much rather have you pull it completely off the ground using a flatbed trailer...
