Trailer Hitch and Wiring for a 2016 Subaru WRX

Question:

Ive 2016 WRX Premium and Im looking for a hidden hitch. WRX has a built-in access in the rear bumper for a hitch. Its basically a hole for hitch to come out of. Is this hitch C11408 will line with that hole, or it comes out under the bumper?

Curt trailer hitch # C11408 exits under the rear fascia on the 2016 Subaru WRX. It does not exit through any factory access panel. I have included a link to the installation instructions for you to look over. The receiver and the cross tube will be visible under the rear fascia.

If you decide to go with this hitch then the correct ball mount to use is # C45521. For a 1-7/8 inch ball use # 19256 and for a 2 inch ball use # 19258. And for trailer wiring use # C56259 to add a 4-Way flat connector at the back of the vehicle.

If you want to use the hitch for an accessory such as a bike rack or cargo carrier then you have to make sure the accessory is rated for use with a Class I trailer hitch. Also, with a bike rack, you are limited to 2 bikes maximum on a Class I hitch.

Curt also says you have to use stabilization strap # 18050 when using this hitch for any non-trailer load (such as a bike rack or cargo carrier) per their warranty requirements.
