Question:
The question is regarding the unit you are showing for a 97 Jeep Wrangler TJ. It is the same unit as the older Jeep Wranglers, but there was a major remodel in 1997 to the new TJ platform. You are showing the Code: 118409 unit as the correct model for the 1998+ Jeep Wranglers and I suspect it is ALSO the correct model for my 97? You can verify this information in the Wiki for Jeep Wranglers, can you confirm I need to order 118409 for my 97 Jeep Wrangler and NOT 118356!!? Unless there is a ONE year electrical difference for the 97 wranglers, but for a major remodel I suspect the 97 electrics are identical to 98 not 95...??

The 1997 Jeep Wrangler TJ retained the same wiring that the Tow Ready Custom Fit Vehicle Wiring, item # 118356, was designed for. In 1998 the wiring for the TJ changed a bit and the Wiring harness was then changed to work and given part # 118409.
To install a 4-Way wiring harness on your 1997 TJ you will need to use item # 118356. I checked fit with 3 different manufacturers and all of their wiring harnesses change between model year 1997 and 1998.
I am including a link to the installation instructions on the # 118356 wiring harness.
