Once I install HM56200 and purchase bx88254 do i just cut the flat four way off and install the supplied end that comes with the bx88254?

That's correct. The Blue Ox # BX88254 Coiled Electrical Cord does included a 4-pole round connector. You can simply cut off the 4-pole flat on the Hopkins wiring harness and replace it with the 4-pole round connector.

If you use the Blue Ox # BX1126 base plate, it actually has a mount for the connector built onto it, as shown in the provided photo.
