Question:
I was looking at the HSSF tie downs for my 2006 2500 short bed ram pick up. Will these scratch the side of the fenders? Also compared to the frame mount, how do these keep the camper from going out the back of the truck bed on a rocky steep incline? I will be getting a camper for my short bed pick up, I just want to make sure I get the right mounting hardware that can handle rough terrain. I dont know how any of this hardware works. Thanks!

When installed the Camper Hold Downs part # HSSF that you referenced would not contact the sides of your truck bed so you wouldn't have to worry about them scratching anything.
When used with the hardware kit # TDHP the camper will be adequately secured to the bed of your truck. Frame mounted hold downs would provide a stronger attachment point. But at the same time we have had zero issues with the Brophy hold downs allowing the camper to slide out the back of the truck.
