Are there any issues with putting carbon fiber frames on this rack?

Usually owners of bikes with carbon frames shy away from bike carriers that make any contact with the frame such as # HR1400Z. If you were to clamp the hooks down too tightly it could damage the frames.
A carrier that holds the bikes at the tires, such as the Thule T2 Pro XTR Bike Rack for 4 Bikes # TH69TX, is the preferred method of transporting carbon frame bikes. This particular carrier only fits 2-inch trailer hitch receivers.
If you have a Class I trailer hitch with 1-1/4 inch receiver I recommend the Kuat Transfer # KU74FR.
