Does Skid Plate have to be Removed to Install Front Hitch on a 2007 Toyota Sequoia
Published 07/30/2015 >
Question:
Are you 100 sure you have to remove the skid plate for 1st generation Sequoias? Please note that my skid plate does not resemble that of the Tundra in the same series. From visual inspection it looks like it should fit without removal but you state it has to be removed. I believe this is based of the information provided for the Tundra. Can you confirm?

Apparently the skid plate on the 2007 Toyota Sequoia will interfere with the proper installation and placement of front mount trailer hitch # 65031. You might be able to modify it and reinstall it but I cannot confirm that. The installation instructions are the same for the Tundra and Sequoia and if there was a difference, such as the skid plate having to be removed on one and not the other, they would specify it in the instructions.
