Question:
does a Four Winds 28 ft have the necessary sub supports to mount an exterior ladder. It is a flat back

Expert Reply:
If your Four Winds RV does not offer an exterior ladder on the back it is possible that the reason is because there is no suitable mounting location strong enough to support a ladder. However based on my research it looks like most Four Winds RVs have exterior ladders.
When installing mounting brackets and support pegs for a ladder like the install components of the Stromberg Carlson Ladder part # LA-401, you will want to make certain that all screws are fastened to the RV's blocking or subframe on roof.
If you are uncertain if your RV has backing installed, you should contact your RV manufacture to confirm. It is unsafe to use a ladder that is not connected to the RV’s backing or sub frame.
