Question:
Hi. I have a 2012 honda pilot touring. it has a 7 pin wiring connection and tow capacity. but I need a brake controller. Is this something that just snaps in place or is it more difficult than that to install. can you reccommend one for towing a 2600lb popup camper w/ electric brakes. thank you.

The Prodigy P2 # 90885 is our best selling brake controller by far and is an excellent brake controller that will serve you well.
As long as your 2012 Honda Pilot Touring came with a factory 7-way connector at the back of the vehicle, you can use the Tekonsha Plug-In Wiring Adapter, # 3070-P. This adapter will plug into the back of your Tekonsha brake controller and the other end will plug into the 4-pin connector on your vehicles built in brake control wiring harness. The harness will be located under the driver side dash just to the left of the steering column. It may be taped to another harness near the emergency brake.
