Question:
my 2005 durango was supposed to have a factory tow package according to the people at dodge. I put on a factory bumper with a receiver hitch. Where can I find the wiring receiver. Ive looked underneath but dont see any plugs

If you were required to install a factory bumper with a receiver hitch, it is very likely that there will not be a port for the Replacement Connector for Dodge OEM Style Plugs, item # 42145, to plug into. Normally this port is located on the driver side near the frame rail and bumper at the back of the vehicle. You may need to move the spare tire out of the way to find the connector.
If that port is not present you will need a Tow Ready Custom Fit Vehicle Wiring for the 2005 Durango by Dodge, item # 118390, and a Brake Controller 7 & 4 Way Installation Kit, item # ETBC7, to complete a 7-Way and 4-Way Installation on your vehicle.
You will also need a brake controller if you plan to tow a trailer with trailer brakes. The Tekonsha Prodigy P2 Brake Controller, item # 90885, is one of our highest rated controllers and is very easy to use and setup. Instructions for brake controller installation are linked below.
