Question:

Hello guys, Im in the market for a Thule roof carrier and I found someone locally West Palm Beach, FL thats selling one Silver top, black bottom not sure of the model though but he has no keys for it, and both locks are locked, I wasnt sure about buying it if I cant get the locks replaced, is there hope for this thule box? Thanks.

It would likely depend on how old the box is.

Look at the faces of the lock cores (see photo). If you see a 4 digit number on the lock, we should be able to obtain a replacement key. If you put the prefix 'THKEYN' in front of the lock number, you'd have the part number for the replacement key you need. This would be an easier and less expensive route to go that replacing the locks themselves. To replace them without tearing the box up, you'd need the correct key anyway.

For instance, if the number on the lock is 2854, you'd use the part # THKEYN2854 replacement key.
