Hi Have a 2004 chev silverado that has the abs light on. Will this affect the operation of an electric brake controller in any way ?

A brake controller like the Curt Venturer part # C74VV does not tie into the actual braking system of a truck like your 2004 Chevy Silverado so it would still work fine. As long as your brake lights are functioning properly on your truck a brake controller will function just fine since that is the only circuit it has to use to operate.

To install this controller in your truck like the one you referenced all you would need is the correct install harness, part # C51352. I attached an install video that will show how it will install.
