Where to Find Stoplight Circuit for Installing a Brake Controller in a 1992 Chevy Truck

Question:

Only two wires a green and gray wire on brake switch for a 1992 chevy truck..tested both but no power to neither so we can connect red wire from electric brake box

Are the brake lights of your vehicle still functioning when you hit the brakes on your 1992 Chevy truck? It almost sounds like the stoplight circuit has potentially blown a fuse and the circuits are dead at the stoplight switch.

Another place you can find the stoplight circuit is at the fuse box for the CHMSL or third brake light fuse. You can also tap into the circuit at the third brake light. But typically this is the same circuit found at the brake pedal.
