D 13612 is this the right part number for my truck? 08 Sierrra 1500 5.3L Does the trans coller hooks up to the line on the top or bottom of the radiator, i dont use my truck for towing, i just want the transmission to run cooler.

Transmission coolers are not vehicle specific so you can use any one that fits in the available space under the hood of your 2008 GMC Sierra. The most popular cooler for your truck is # D13503. But you can use # D13612 is you want. It will not provide as much cooling as # D13503.
To avoid having to cut and flare lines I also recommend using fitting # D13035.
The factory lines from the transmission to the radiator are likely lower on the radiator but following the lines from the transmission will tell you for sure. The return line from the radiator to the transmission on the GM 4L60-E transmission is the top line at the transmission end.
