There are two different Cummins diesel engines they put in the 2004 Dodge Rams. There is the high output 5.9 Cummins which would call for the # EP30204 and there is the 24 valve common rail engine that calls for the # EP30203.
If you check the VIN of your truck the eighth digit will be the letter C if your truck has the H.O. Cummins. Also it will say 305 on the ID tag of the truck.
