Recommended Combo-Cooler And Power Steering Cooler For 2008 Honda Pilot

How does the combo cooler compare to 2 individual units? Will this take care of the transmission and power steering fluids as well? And when you say that cooling the oil is priority of course do you mean installing an oil cooler in addition to the radiator before thinking about putting in a trans or power steering cooler?

If you are wanting to use coolers for your transmission oil, engine oil, and power steering fluid, I have some recommendations that will work for you.

I recommend using a combo cooler for the transmission and oil cooler, and use a separate cooler for the power steering. I recommend using the combination system because it will take up less space under the hood of your vehicle. Since these are not fluid specific you can use a combo cooler for any combination of the fluids mentioned. Since the best location is between the grille and the AC condenser on a vehicle I recommend using that space for the transmission fluid and engine oil cooler and locate the power steering cooler closer to the power steering lines.

For a combo cooler I recommend the Derale Combination Transmission and Engine Oil Cooler, part # D15902. This cooler helps extend the life of both the transmission and the engine and includes all the necessary hardware needed for installation.

For a power steering cooler I recommend a cooler like the Derale 2-Pass Tube-Fin Power Steering Cooler, part # D13200. Depending on the length of hose you will need when installing this cooler, you will most likely need to add additional fluid to the system.
