We have a video of the Curt Hitch part # C11282 being installed on a 2014 Chevrolet Cruze and the distance from the center of the hitch pin hole to the back of the rear bumper is 6-1/2 inches. We'll use that dimension when recommending a cargo carrier that will work for you. I have attached a helpful article that explains how this measurement is taken. The hitch has a tongue weight capacity of 200 lbs.
The hitch-mounted cargo carrier I recommend is the Curt Hitch Cargo Carrier, part # C18110. This carrier measures 20 X 48 inches and is designed for 1-1/4 inch hitch receivers. The distance from the center of the hitch pin hole to the carrier platform is 6-3/4 inches. This carrier weighs about 30 lbs.
You will want to check the owner's manual or with your dealership to make sure you do not exceed the tongue weight capacity of your Cruze. I have attached links to some of the products we offer that are designed to fit 1-1/4 inch receiver openings you can take a look at.
