Circuit to Use for Illuminating the Gauge of the Derale Remote Transmission Filter Kit # D13091
Published 03/24/2015 >
Question:
I installed this kit and wired the thermostat but the light stays on even when car is off. Killed my battery. I tried a bunch of different fuse locations and same thing. Using the Firestone fuse thing. Did it exactly like in video on the 05 pathfinder which is same as my 09 frontier.

To power the light of the Derale Remote Transmission Filter Kit # D13091 you will want to find a circuit that only sees power when the head lights or running lights of your vehicle are on. This will ensure that the light only comes on with the head lights and won't drain your battery when not in use.
On my car I had to install a light for a gauge and I used a circuit I found on the traction control switch that makes it light up when the head lights are on. If there are any buttons that light up on the interior of your vehicle when the headlights are turned on test the wires of the switch to find the circuit that illuminates the button and use it.
