Expert Reply:
The 2014 Honda CR-V had 3 possible roof configurations: nothing at all (called a naked roof), flush mount side rails that run front to back, and factory roof rack that includes crossbars that run side to side.
Starting with the naked roof option I recommend Rhino-Rack Vortex roof rack using the following parts:
Crossbars # RRVA137B-2
Foot pack # RRRLKVA
Custom clamp kit # DK284
Then you could add kayak carrier # S512 but for 2 kayaks you'd need two of them.
For the side rail model I recommend the Rhino-Rack RVP Roof Rack Item # RRRVP33. This is an all in one roof rack. No additional parts are needed for installation. The Rhino-Rack kayak carrier # S512 will fit this roof rack as well.
If your CR-V has the factory crossbars then you would just need a kayak carrier. The Rhino-Rack carrier should fit as long as the bars are up to 3-1/8 inches wide. Please consult the vehicle owners manual for the roof weight capacity prior to loading.
