Curt offers two different hitches for the 2009 Subaru Outback, the Class II # C12284 you referenced which fits all models of the 2009 Subaru Outback Wagon with the exception of the Sport Model. The Class I # C11315 will fit 2009 Subaru Outback Wagon Sport models with a single exhaust.
Curt has no other fit exclusions for the 2009 Outback. As long as your 2009 Outback Wagon SE isn't a Sport Model with Dual Exhaust, there's a hitch availble.
