How to Wire in a Brake Controller to a 2014 Nissan Titan with Factory 7-Way

My titan plug adpt. has 5 wires. R/g=brk.sig. B= GND BR/W=BRK OUT R/l= ILL R= Fused B+ My drawtite 5100 Has only 4 wires. What do I do with the extra titan wire?

The fifth wire you have on your 2014 Nissan Titan that you have found in the brake controller wiring is not needed. This is the illumination circuit that isn't used anymore on modern brake controllers.
Since your vehicle came with the tow package all you need to install a brake controller like the P2 part # 90885 is the correct harness part # 3050-P. Simply plug in the harness to the brake controller and the other end into the port on your vehicle and you would be good to go.

If you wanted to hardwire the controller in without the use of the adapter you would need to wire it like this:
Pigtail red to controller black
Pigtail red/green to controller red
Pigtail black to controller white
Pigtail brown/white to controller blue
Pigtail red/blue not needed
