Question:
I routinely use a Valentine One radar detector in my truck. Will this unit trigger or otherwise interfere with the operation of the radar detector?

I have great news! Using a wired back up-camera like the Hopkins # HM50002 won't interfere with your Valentine One radar detector since the V1 plugs into your lighter socket or using the optional direct-wire power adapter.
Keep in mind that any other wireless device that operates on 2.4 GHz (like a Bluetooth or in-car internet) can interfere with the reception quality of a wireless backup camera.
I included a helpful video review on the Hopkins backup camera for you as well.
