Question:
I have a1993 K2500 suburban. Everything appears to work until I turn on the flashers hazard lights. The break controller then pulses a signal to the brakes in sync with the flashing lights. Is this fixable? I have it wired according to the diagrams that I have seen through prodigy.

It sounds like you have the brake controller red wire attached to the wrong wire on your 1993 Suburban. The red wire is the one that carries the signal telling the brake controller when you step on the brake pedal. There is more than one wire under the dash that will have power when you step on the brake pedal.
What you will need to do is use a circuit tester such as # PTW2993 and probe the brake switch wires. You need the one that only has power when you step on the brake pedal. If it has power with the turn signals, flashers, or headlights on then it is not the correct wire. I have linked a video showing a brake controller installation on a Suburban like yours that should help.
