Yes, the Curt Trailer Hitch, # C11041 will fit your 2001 Ford Mustang V6 convertible. This hitch does not come with the required ball mount and you can use ball # 19256 (1-7/8 inch diameter) or # 19258 (2 inch diameter).
For trailer wiring, you can use Curt T-Connector # C55326. This is a T-one style connector that plugs in line with the vehicle taillights.
