What To Consider to Set Fifth Wheel Hitch Height
Updated 01/19/2015 | Published 01/18/2015 >
Question:
Just getting ready to pick up a 5th wheel RV in about two weeks. Getting my rollover installed this week and the companion I will be installing myself. Anyway to determine what holes to use for height. I understand getting the plate over the axle, but the height is bugging me. Would like to have installed prior to driving 5 hours to pick up the trailer and have to reconfigure onsite. Thanks. Diagrams are helpful. LOL

The thing about the hitch height is that it will depend on the trailer. So without having the trailer in front of you there is no way to know exactly what height setting you will need.
The goal is to have the trailer sit as level as possible. Until you have the trailer in front of you and can determine what height setting will be needed to tow the trailer level there's no way to know what your ideal height setting would be.
