Question:
I have a Swift Hitch camera with a battery or switch problem. The monitor works fine but the camera does not work most of the time. I have charged the battery without success. How do you open the camera up to get to the battery? I have all the screws and bolt out, but can not access the insides?

According to my contacts at Swift Hitch, the battery in the camera portion of the Swift Hitch System # 04928 is replaceable. However this is not just a normal battery swap out, the battery in the camera is soldered in place. So for replacement you would have to remove the existing battery and solder the new one in place. If you do not feel comfortable with this, Swift Hitch will replace the battery for you if you will send them your camera.
Once the 4 screws are removed you should be able to grab the housing for the lens of the camera and slide it out.
