Question:
My Dodge is apperently all set up to put in a Brake Control and there is a port under the dash but its beside the hood release and its big, like 11 opening. Is this what Im looking for? There is nothing in the owners manual about anything, nothing blue at all under the dash.

The port you describe does not seem like what you need. You are going to be looking up under the dash for the 4 pin connector wiring harness. It is usually blue but this is not always the case, it can sometimes be gray.
On your 2004 Dodge Ram it will be somewhere under the dash next to the e-brake pedal. The connector will attach to a wiring harness like the Tekonsha Wire Replacement for Dodge Vehicles, item # 3020-P, if your brake controller is a Tekonsha product like the P-3, item # 90195.
We have a video installation on a 2009 Dodge Ram 3500 pickup for you to review.
If your truck does not have a factory installed 7-Way trailer connector, you will need to look at the sections in the FAQ for factory 4-Way or No Existing Wiring Harness.
