Recommended Snow Chains for a 2014 Ram 2500 with 275/70/R18 Tires for Snow and Ice Covered Roads

Question:

Hi, Looking for v-bar cam-lock chains for 2014 2500 RAM with 275/70/R18. I will run these with chain tighteners as well. Snow/ice covered logging roads will be the use fire wood cutting. I see that both Glacier Bay and Titan have them. Any/all recommendations will be greatly appreciated.

Since you will be running on snow and ice covered roads, I recommend the Titan Chains # TC3829CAM because it has a steel V-bar with ice spikes and cam tensioners. The V-bar studs with ice spikes penetrate the ice giving you superior traction. I recommend getting 2 pairs because you have a 4-wheel drive vehicle. Having them on the front drive tires will provide added steering and braking benefits.

The cam tighteners are built-in making fitting and tightening a breeze and cross chains are twisted for added traction.

Be sure to consult the vehicle owners manual for any restrictions regarding the use of tire chains on your 2014 Ram 2500 as well as reducing driving speeds are a must.
