Corrosion-resistant zinc-coated anchor slides into a 2x4 stake pocket on your flatbed truck or trailer. Movable anchor secures with the included pin and clip, so you can quickly and easily remove and reinstall it as needed. 5,000 lbs Maximum load.
Features:
Specs:
Note: Tie-down anchors must be chosen according to their safe working load limit (WLL). The weight of the secured cargo must not exceed the combined WLL of the anchors being used. For example, if you are using anchors with a WLL of 100 lbs each to tie down a load weighing 400 lbs, then you need at least 4 anchors to safely secure that load. It is recommended that you always use anchors in pairs.

What's up, everybody It's AJ with etrailer.com. Today we're gonna be checking out these Brophy Stake Pocket D-ring accessories. So it's gonna go in your standard 2 x 4 sized stake pocket and give you an attachment point for your snap hooks. Let's check it out. The accessory here is gonna be 3 1/2" wide and 5 1/4" tall so this gives you a better idea if they're gonna work with your stake pocket or not, and we got a pin and clip at the bottom holding it in place. Now looking at the D-ring, it's gonna have a 2" diameter here so that's letting you know what kind of hook is gonna fit here to attach to it.
Also, it's gonna have a safe working load limit of 1,600 pounds and then a break strength of 5,000 pounds, so just keep that in mind when you have things tied down and hauling down the road. Something else to consider when you're strapping down your cargo is you wanna go by the lowest common denominator, so if this has a safe working load limit of 1,600 pounds. We wanna go by that. Even if your straps are rated higher, you wanna go buy this 'cause it's gonna be the tie down point. It's gonna be really easy to set up.
You just slide down in the stake pocket, got your pin and clip that goes through the bottom. Pin both holes. Then we will put the clip on there. That's gonna keep it in place. Now it does look and loose right now and that's before we tighten down our straps.
I'll put our snap hook on there. As I tighten it down, it's gonna pull it up into place and it'll be way more sturdy. So now we'll pull our strap tight, (ratchet clicking) ratchet a little bit tighter. (ratchet clicking) And we're good. Now these stake pocket tie downs are gonna come in quantity of one, so if you wanna do the setup we have today, you can get four of these, drop 'em in the stake pockets 'cause we always recommend two straps for whatever you're tying down, so this is gonna be a good way to not have to buy new ratchet straps.
We got the snap book ones, we already used those on another trailer. We can still use our stake pockets here. Now this one's gonna be silver and have a zinc coating so you don't have to worry about leaving it out in the elements. It's not gonna rust or corrode. Overall, I think these are a great accessory to have, especially if you already have these straps, you don't wanna buy new ratchet straps for the trailer and you wanna still use the stake pockets all the way down there, really easy to swap out and move wherever you need it for whatever cargo you're hauling. Well, I think that does it. Thanks for hanging out and hope this helped.
excellent
These work great!
Excellent and handy. I keep them in the trailer box so they don't disappear. Use them a lot. No negative issues and versitile.
Great customer service. When first order was to be delayed, I was immediately notified and offered alternatives, not just a form letter but personally. Always satisfied with my ordering experience at eTrailer.
These are useful tie downs although they are designed to be one size fits all and as we all know, stake pocket depth is variable. The dept of the retaining pin provides plenty of room but is far too deep for my application. Obviously when a load is put on the rings, they slide upward and perform fine. I just prefer a more snug fit with less rattle when not being used. I will remove these when not in use, to prevent the rattling around. I was pleased that they were not overly engineered and heavy. Appear strong & useful for almost any application. I wish a heavy wall Aluminum version was available, maybe someday?
Received the product promptly, and was packaged very well. Only used them twice, so far, and most people who've noticed them, didn't know they were available! Would like to see one more hole in the base, in order to have the unit fit snugly in the trailer pocket. The stake pockets on my Tractor Supply aluminum trailer are 2" deep. The anchor can slide up and down about 2 1/8". This isn't a big issue, but can have an effect when the cargo bounces in the trailer, possible allowing the tie down straps to loosen. I can fit a small spacer to fill in the gap. Absolutely great item that solves the problem with trailers that only have 2X4 stake pockets, and no "D" rings to hook cinch straps, and tie downs to. Very happy with the product, and strongly recommend to anyone with a trailer! J. K. from Buchanan Mi.
These tie down anchors work great for using ratchet straps so they do not get damaged or cut by just using the stake pockets. Will fit standard 2x4 pockets. Make sure to measure before ordering.
Does the job nicely. But it would be good to have a second pin hole about an inch above the existing one. Then the assembly would not slip upwards in shorter stake pockets that some trailers have.
This would require recalculating load rating.
Fits the stake pocket on my aluminum Hillsboro flat bed. Better angle on a D-ring than just the rub rails.
A little wobbly n noisy so I coated the base with flex seal product. Also put a small pad lock in the cotter pin hole to prevent theft. Small enough to fit in a truck box or under the seat, and use when needed. Happy with the purchase. Need 2 more now that I know they fit!
great product, only issue was the fit steak pockets were jus a hair smaller than the tie downs, couple of passes with grinder and the problem was solved!!
These were just what I was looking for, I didn't want to cut up my trailer bed or grind and weld on my frame. They make it much easier to tie down anything and there moveable.
Solidly built. Perfect fit. Would highly recommend. Axle straps are decent quality for the price.
I bought & use 10 of these on my car hauler when needing to strap items down for hauling when not hauling a car. They work very well.
Fast, Efficient service. Items constructed well.
Fits my rail pockets perfectly.
