My Curt hitch is at least 8 years old. This is the first time I have replaced the rubber bottom bushing.
Tool needed a 17mm wrench or socket. Changed it out in less than 10 minutes. I can tell the hitch head doesn't have the play when installed.
You can see the wear and cracks in the old one.
Now to replace the hitch head rubbers.
I had some play in the hitch, that is why I decided to replace the dampener. My rubber dampener didn't seem to be worn like the other rubber service kit that I replaced already. But decided to replace the dampener since I already purchased it.
Very easy to replace, I already had the hitch out of the truck. Two bolts and a metal back plate. The new rubber dampener comes with the two bolts and lock nuts. It took me about 10 minutes to male the swap.
This was out of stock at Curt and it took about a month for it to get here.

This part has worked out very well over the last year.
I noticed some play in the hitch when I removed it to use the bed.
Curt does not sell direct and the local dealers only wanted to sell entire assemblies!
Glad E-trailer had some of the factory replacement common wear items.
Only a couple minutes to replace.
Good as new now.

Super quick about getting a very much needed part... Despite the system stating otherwise.. THANKS
I needed this kit to rebuild my Curt Q5 hitch prior to selling it. Once etrailer had the parts in stock they were shipped out quickly. It did take close to 45 days for etrailer to get the parts from Curt.
Parts fit as expected and the hitch is now tight and chucking has been reduced.

These worked out well. They renewed the hitch prior to me selling it.

I really appreciate the work you have done so I could get my project finished. You were such a great help Rebuilding my Curt Q20 was so easy, everything went together just fine. As I have the A20, I plan on selling the Q20. I will not sell anything that I would not be happy with. The Curt Q20 is safe and ready for the next owner.
