Your RV needs better cooling in the summer, and a little heat on cold mornings won't hurt either. This GE Appliances rooftop unit pulls double duty with efficient AC and a builty-in heat pump that takes the edge off when temps dip.
Heating with propane brings two problems: it costs more than you think, and you're never sure if you have enough to get through the night. This rooftop unit with a built-in heat pump changes that. The heat pump uses electric power to take the edge off cold mornings, so your furnace doesn't have to do all the work. You get reliable warmth through the same ceiling assembly you use for cooling, and the more you heat with electric, the less propane you burn. It's one less system to manage, and one more reason you can camp longer without thinking about your fuel gauge.
This ducted air conditioner pushes cooled air through the vents in the ceiling, delivering consistent airflow across multiple rooms in your RV. With a GE ducted system, the rooftop unit connects to a ceiling assembly that ties into your existing ductwork, giving you whole-RV comfort with a clean, built-in look. It's a great choice for larger RVs or anyone who wants to control airflow from front to back, not just in the room below the AC. If you already have ducts in place, this setup gives you full-zone cooling without compromising space or layout.
A lot's changed in RV cooling over the years, and one of the biggest shifts is what's inside the system - not just the tech, but the refrigerant itself. This model uses R-32, a newer refrigerant that cools efficiently while producing significantly less environmental impact. It's cleaner, more future-friendly, and already becoming the standard across the industry. If you're replacing an aging unit, you're not just upgrading your airflow you're upgrading what's behind it.
I haven't installed the AC unit yet. I just wanted to say that the ordering process is extremely easy to complete the transaction process. Checking out of the cart is routine and completed in minutes. I was on the road traveling and decided to order the AC unit and have it delivered to my house. Checking out process has the option to deliver your order to an E-Trailer trusted agent business. I requested to have the AC unit delivered to a trusted agent near my traveling location. who work with E-trailer. The agent was extremely helpful loaded in my truck. Just waiting to get it installed this sometime this week.
excellent product, installation was as easy as you could get, make sure you have 12 volts at the control box as the t/stat gets its power from the control box, it only needs three wires down to the t/stat, unless you are hooking up your furnace to it then you would need five. I used this unit to replace a coleman mach 10 a/c only and its much quieter and colder with better air flow, looking forward to seeing how well the heat pump works in the cold weather, I did try it on a 55 degree morning and it worked well. Comes in two boxes and is packed very well with Styrofoam all around unit, this was installed on a Grand Design Reflection 320 MKS fifth wheel front unit. Theres no better company to deal with than Etrailer, they stand behind all their products and shipping issues.
