Hi, everybody. Andy here with etrailer. Let's take a quick look at this GE Appliances 15,000 BTU white low-profile ducted RV air conditioner with heat pump system. Now, this low-profile RV air conditioner is designed to give you an additional three inches of clearance in roof height. And this 15,000 BTU per hour air conditioner is going to cool evenly and handle the harsh road conditions, all from a brand that you know and trust. And this uses the more energy-efficient R32 roof refrigerant, which does meet the 2025 EPA regulations.
So this unit will not be backwards compatible with any AC systems from 2024 and earlier. Now, this is going to be a bolt-on installation. The hardware is going to be included with this. And giving you some measurements here that I took before our time together, the overall length of this unit is going to be 40 inches, the overall width is gonna be 30 inches, and as I mentioned, this is a low-profile unit, so the overall height is gonna be right at 11 inches. This unit weighs about 88 pounds or so.
And so this is going to run quietly. The motor has sound-dampening grommets to help reduce annoying humming, and it's going to be a pretty easy swap for most RVs. This is going to seamlessly install over your roof's pre-existing roof vent opening. And this is built for the, built up for the road. The high-grade materials are gonna do a great job of withstanding extreme UV rays and constant vibration.
And the white hard automotive-grade polymer shroud is going to do a good job of protecting the internal components from water and debris and it will be able to be easily removed if need be for maintenance and cleaning. The wiring harness is underneath. You'll just pull the wires from underneath this unit through the roof of your RV or camper to hook it up. Now, I want to mention just briefly that this does include a heat pump and that heat pump is going to keep the inside of your RV or camper warm on those chilly mornings by efficiently using the heat that's in the air to warm your coach on those chilly days as low as 25 degrees Fahrenheit. And at 35 degrees Fahrenheit, this is gonna be able to extend your propane supply from 19 to 38% by reducing the need to run your furnace.
Now, when the conditions do get too cold for the heat pump to work efficiently, it's going to automatically switch over to your furnace and it's also going to, it also has an auto defrost cycle to help prevent ice buildup on the heat exchanger. Now, let's take a closer view of this side of the table here just so I can talk briefly of the additional components that are gonna come with this. You are going to get this air distribution box, and this is built to handle road vibrations and everyday life. And then you're going to get this single-zone thermostat. Let me bring this up a little bit closer here so you can see. And this, as you can see, includes these easy-to-use buttons, has a backlit display. So this is gonna be very easy to mount and use, and this is designed specifically to be used with this system. And then you're also going to get this fireproof control board. This is the brain that manages how the AC unit operates. So let me give you some measurements. Looking at the dimensions of our air distribution box, this is going to be 17 5/8 inches long and wide and it's going to come down from your ceiling about 5/8 of an inch or so. So it's not gonna take up a whole lot of headroom. Our thermostat is going to be 3 1/2 inches wide and long and it's about an inch thick. And then our control box is going to be right at about 7 1/2 inches long, 6 7/8 inches wide, and about 2 3/8 inches thick. So everything that you see here is what you're going to get, a complete air conditioning system, and you're gonna be able to get this up and running in virtually no time. Overall, it's gonna be a pretty simple installation, and instructions will be included to guide you through that installation process. And this is all coming from a name that you know and trust, especially for appliances in the home. That reliability and dependability is going to show up in this air conditioner system. If you happen to have any other questions, whether it's about this or anything else that we carry, don't hesitate to reach out 'cause we wanna make sure that you're getting exactly what you need. Well, again, my name is Andy. Thank you for joining me.
