Specs:
The vacuum breaker lets you attach a handheld shower set (sold separately) to make cleaning mud and sand off the kids, pets, and shower walls even easier. The vacuum breaker also has an anti-siphon device - a small air hole that drains water back out of the hose to prevent your dirty shower water from contaminating your clean water supply.
To install, use the inlet shanks to drop the new valve and deck plate in place of your existing valve. Then hand-tighten the included mounting nuts against the back of the wall, and connect the hot and cold water lines. You'll need to keep some tub and tile caulk (not included) on hand to help prevent any leaking.

Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we take a look at the Empire Faucets RV shower valve with the vacuum breaker, has the single teacup handle, and a nice white finish. Now this is a wall mount RV shower valve that'll let you upgrade the bathroom shower valve in your RV or your camper. You can see this one has a top mount vacuum breaker on it. And that allows you to attach a handheld shower set to your faucet. Now the shower set, we do sell separately on our website.
And what's nice with this vacuum breaker, it helps prevent the backflow contamination of your clean water supply. This is a single handle design, you can see, with the nice teacup style handle. And it does use a washerless ball valve design, provides a nice smooth turning action, and prevents unwanted dripping. It is a three-quarter turn single mixing valve, provides easy temperature control. And they do use a diamond ceramic disc cartridge, which is maintenance free.
That disc cartridge creates a nice watertight seal when the faucet is turned off. This is a nice non metallic ABS plastic construction. You can see it has a nice white color. We mentioned it's a wall-mount two hole installation. The inlet shanks do have the standard male NPSM connections.
Now the deck plate and the two mounting nuts are included for installation. Basically what you would do is when you install this, put your deck plate on there, take your mounting nuts, thread those on, and snug them down to hold the faucet in place. Same on this one. Now it does require tile and tub caulk, that is not included. You would have to supply that when you install this.
A few specs on this, if we do the overall dimensions, the overall width, one end to the other, is right at six and a quarter inches wide, total height from the bottom to the top of the vacuum breaker, three and a half inches tall, and the depth we're going to measure from the front here to where it goes mounts up against the wall. So your overall depth is going to be right at four and five eights inches. The distance between the inlet shanks has a standard, center to center, four inches. And the inlet shank diameter on these, there's a half an inch. And again, to show you, there's the off position, and then as you turn it, it goes from cold, all the way up to hot. But that should do it for the review on this Empire Faucets, RV shower valve with the vacuum breaker, the single teacup handle and the nice white finish..
