This on/off switch automatically turns your RV's compartment light on when the door opens and off when it closes. Mounts to door strut with included hardware. 42" Wire lead with 2 connectors plugs into compartment light.

Today we're gonna take a look at the RV compartment door gas strut automatic on and off switch. Now with this part, you'll never worry about leaving your compartment light on again. You just add this automatic on and off switch to any pop-up gas strut door application, and then wire this to light, so it will turn the light on for you as you lift the door, and it'll shut the light off as you close it. It is designed to fit on the 6-mm, 8-mm, 10-mm, and 12-mm gas strut rods, and it does include this 42-inch long pigtail wire with connectors for connecting to your light. That should do it for the review on the RV compartment door gas strut automatic on and off switch.

These work great with led strip lights to light up my truck bed.
I have a smart cap with indoors so I wired in three of these in parallel so that my bed lights come on if any of the doors are opened.
The switches fit the struts on my smartcap perfectly.
Works great for adding lights in a Smar tCap.
I got the switch and was able to install it in about 10 minutes. Easy peasy!
Works great! So glad someone invented this. I wanted my topper light to come on when I opened the glass, and now it does. Also, I left the tailgate and the topper glass door wide open with stuff in the back and did a 40 mile drive without knowing it. Luckily, nothing fell out, but I wanted a way to be able to know that the back was open while driving. The light is bright back there, so if I leave the back open, I'll be able to see the light. Problem solved!
