Secure, Two-Piece Jaw

Q24 Two-Piece Jaw

Unlike slide-bar models, the rounded, two-piece jaw on this fifth-wheel trailer hitch inhibits rattle and movement by securely wrapping around your trailer's king pin, resulting in easier hookup and a safer, quieter ride.

Three-Point Indicator System

Get peace of mind with Curt's color-coded lock indicator. Just look at the indicator - either the one on the handle or the one on the hitch itself - to determine whether the jaw is in the correct position to uncouple (red), couple (yellow) or tow (green).

Q24 Color Indicator System

360-Degree Pivot

Curt's unique spherical axial bearing provides a durable pivot point that allows easy, 360-degree movement of the hitch head. This ball joint is designed for smooth, quiet operation with less clunking and chucking.

Nice well made with thick material. Time would tell how sturdy it is. Easy to install, clear instructions with everything you need for it. (Nuts and bolts).
This is my second mounting kit that I get for my trucks.

2005 Chevrolet Silverado

High quality, heavy duty system. Bolted right in and instructions were easy to follow. I feel good about pulling our camper with this set up. Only issue was shipping, the box was damaged and was missing the pins that were ordered. But customer service quickly got thing fixed and resent.

by: Sean03/20/2024

Truly happy with this product and can't wait to go to work! etrailer sent me everything I requested and the installer had no problems. Everything was packed well in shipping with no problems.

2005 Dodge Quad Cab Dully , Cedar Creek 36 ckts 16k
very nice hitch , shipped relay fast 3 days to east coast, easy to install : had rails from old hitch,
it did come a LITTLE scratched up from shipping . one thing i wish it had more height / it does sit lower than old hitch buy 1 inch. haven't tried pulling yet / will up date latter . hope it pulls as good as it looks.
now no problem for bigger trailer, i hope! maybe a toy hauler?

by: Dwayne B09/11/2020

I purchased a higher rated (weight) Curt hitch to prevent 'rolling' forward during hard stops. The new hitch far exceeds my trailer weight but I continue to have the problem, although not as often. I had the new hitch professionally installed.

by: Mark 04/25/2023

This product is certainly stout. It doesn't seem to have any ability to rock and roll with terrain which concerns me some.

by: Paula07/09/2018

Have not had the opportunity to use the new hitch to pull our RV, but did hook up to the RV to check height and ease of hookup, it's great, very happy with this hitch so far.
Ease of ordering was excellent, received it within 5 days in great condition.

by: Michael07/30/2020

I love dealing with Etrailer, unit came in one piece and early......and OMG this hitch is incredible!! 4 bolts and it's in. I hitched up literally in minutes. CURT makes it idiot proof...

by: Jacob06/29/2022

Upon delivery the box was a little banged up. Everything was inside was still in good condition. To my time with install to insure proper alignment, the only thing I can say negative about it is, you need 4 additional 3/4 inch washers for the frame bracket bolts that are not included, at least I did! On both sides. In the end it was a rather easy success.

There were no parts missing! Just 4 extra 34 inch washers were needed

2004 Chevrolet Silverado

2004 Chevy Silverado 2500HD, installed the Custom 5th Wheel Installation kit along with the Q16 Slider Hitch. Product arrived very quickly after ordering. It was shipped in 3 different boxes. One box was a little beat up during shipping, but all of the parts were there and undamaged. I watched the installation video once, then my brother-in-law and I tackled the job which took us about 2 hours. This was not difficult to install other than trying to get the 1/2" bolt through the hole on the driver side of the frame (the frame is boxed there). The included wire guide helped, but you still have to manipulate the bolt into the right position in a very tight spot. Everything turned out to be a perfect fit, no modifications needed. Also, I removed both rear wheels before starting which gave us plenty of working room. I have purchased from etrailer in the past and will continue to use them in the future.

by: Mike12/11/2018

I bought this hitch because I am a firm believer in buy heavier than I need for safety. This hitch has been absolutely wonderful. The fifth wheel pull great with no jarring and the solid feel when attached is comforting. I can easily reach everything I need to set the hitch and lock it. The jaws are very easy to tell if I am completely hooked or not and the lock works great for a quick look to tell if ready. This hitch was very well priced (cheaper than lighter rated models) without being of "cheap" quality. I have enjoyed this hitch very much and thank goodness it breaks down into pieces for removal as it is a very heavy unit.

by: Keagan09/11/2022

This kit is perfect! Comes with everything you need with easy to install instructions. I’d recommend this and other etrailer products. They match all factory specs. Simple and easy

Installed on my 2005 Chevrolet 2500. Used install videos from your website and had no problems at all installing. Fast shipping also. Thank you for a great website!

by: Lloyd C.11/07/2016

Got my Curt Q24 finally. A very good, quality, heavy hitch. It was just a little scratched up, in same spots as all others seems to post - do to shipping by UPS. Etrailer did double box it to help, so all in all it wasn't bad. It is definitely a heavy hitch, but being able to quickly break it into pieces (head removes easily) makes it much more manageable to put in and out of the truck. Can't wait for the trailer to get in so I can try out this hitch...
Installed onto Curt rails in a 2006 F350, with no issue. Will be pulling a 18k 43' 5er soon!
Shipping was a bit on the slow side compared to other reviews - took 2 weeks to get it, but luckily my trailer is also delayed so I didn't need it immediately.

by: John S.07/08/2016

We took it to a shop to have it installed. It looks great, and the features to make sure our 5th wheel is securely locked in place give us peace of mind. And it's nice that the rails are made just for our 2016 Ram 3500 long bed. It really is well made and is a brute. Can't wait to get out on the road.

2005 Chevrolet Silverado

Well built. Some bolts are a bugger to get tightened up but not bad. Didn't remove the heat shield.

by: Gary R.06/10/2016

Haven't towed with it yet,but looks like it will be more user friendly than my previous hitch.I had to adjust my rails a little to get it to fit.Shipping speed was excellent. While etrailer wrapped and stapled over the manufacturer box the contents when opened had several places where the paint was missing due to parts rubbing together during shipment.

by: Kenneth d10/09/2018

The Hitch was very good quality very easy to install in the 2018 Dodge Ram Total installation by myself was under an hour I plan on using it to move travel trailers fifth wheels around for people

by: Austin 02/14/2024

Had an issue with my bank denying my order of two of the same items. Talked to Adam with customer service and he was fantastic. He got everything straightened out and received my order in less than two days

by: Randy08/30/2023

I’m very happy with the ease of ordering and the information videos that Curt had available before I made my purchase. When I received myQ24 hitch it was great quality and very easy to assemble it also works better than expected.
Thank you etrailer

Great product, fits like a glove

by: Anthony 11/16/2023

Hitch was easy to install the fit is perfect & shipping was right on time.

by: David A02/18/2017

Ordered my Curt 24k 5th wheel hitch on Tuesday, received around 230 Friday, and was installed by 5pm same day ( already had the rails). I am anxious to hook up my Heartland Big Country 3650RL to my 2006 Chevrolet dually and roll down the highway.
The hitch is alI i expected it to be, and it is quite heavy, but managed to get it installed by myself after reading the great installation instructions. As in other posts, slight scratches during shipping due to packing materials used by Curt, not etrailer's fault.
My RV has a tongue weight of 2350 lbs, 14000 overall, and 39'6" lenghth. Expectations are high that this hitch will handle it well! Thanks for the great service

by: Brian 04/10/2024

Perfect fit and great quality.

by: Jeremiah 09/23/2016

Very strong product I would give five stars except the instructions would not be good for an every day truck owner but the E trailer video is really good the only issue with a long bed is you have to drill 4 holes in the front of the frame two on each side and be aware if you do have a long bed truck you will need a big drillbit for instants I used a 7/8 but the overall product is good shipping was great could not imagine having to install the universal brackets and this kit made it so much easier

Jeremiah

  • Recommended 5th Wheel Hitch Upgrade for a 45' Long Heartland Cyclone Trailer
  • For your 45' Heartland Cyclone, I recommend checking out the Curt Q24 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch # C16245. This hitch is great because it offers a bit more capacity at 24,000-lbs, a unique spherical axle bearing that allows for easy pivoting of the head to provide a smoother ride. Additionally, this hitch also has built-in cushioning that absorbs road shock. This hitch will also work with B&W, Demco, Draw-Tite, Hidden Hitch, Valley, Reese, and Husky above-bed 5th wheel rails. • Is My Curt Q24 5th Wheel Hitch Compatible With My Rota-Flex Pin Box?
  • That is correct, your Curt Q24 5th Wheel Trailer Hitch # C16245 is not compatible with Rota-Flex pin boxes like the Trailair Rota-Flex 5th Wheel Pin Box # LC328330. This is due to the pivoting system in the pin box and the pivoting system in the hitch head working against each other which can ultimately lead to the hitch head failing. Instead, your only other option is to replace your pin box, or replace your 5th wheel hitch with something that is compatible with your pin box. I

  • Recommended 5th Wheel Hitch and Rails for a 2006 GMC Sierra 1500
  • There would've been a package that whoever was the original owner could've selected that gave them in bed rails to tow a 5th wheel. Seeing as though that's long gone, you're going to have to add them yourself with the Curt Custom Fifth Wheel Installation Kit for Chevy/GMC # C16418-204. I also recommend adding the 5th Wheel/Gooseneck 90-Degree Wiring Harness w/ 7-Pole Plug # 50-97-410 to the bed of your truck. This is going to make hooking and unhooking your 5th wheel so much easier and

  • Fifth Wheel Hitch Rail Kit Recommendation for 2008 GMC Sierra 1500 5-1/2 ft Bed
  • Curt does not offer a fifth wheel rail kit fit for the 5-1/2 foot bed version of your 2008 GMC Sierra 1500. The good news is that Reese does and a Curt hitch would fit them just fine. For that you would want the part # RP50064-58 which is a confirmed fit.

  • Can 2001 GMC Sierra Short Bed Tow Fifth Wheel Trailer
  • I looked up the towing capacity of your 2001 GMC Sierra and it would be capable of towing a fifth wheel trailer that weighs between 8,100 and 9,300 lbs without requiring upgrades beyond adding a fifth wheel rail kit so that you could install a hitch. I have to recommend you confirm this capacity with your owners manual or a GM dealer. For a fifth wheel rail kit a custom install kit like the part # C16418-204 would be the way to go as it would minimize install time and frame drilling.

  • Parts Needed to Install a 5th Wheel Hitch on a 2008 Chevy Silverado 1500 with the 5-1/2 Foot Bed
  • The only Chevrolet Silverado that came with a 5-1/2' bed in 2008 was the 1500 model. If you have a 2008 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 with the 5-1/2' bed then I do have a custom kit with above bed base rails for you but the Curt Custom Fifth Wheel Installation Kit part # C16418-204 will not work. Instead, I recommend using the Reese Quick-Install Custom Installation Kit part # RP50064-58. This kit is a direct bolt-on fit for the above truck's frame rails and will work with any brand of 5th wheel

  • Base Rails for 2004 Silverado 1 Ton Dually That Don't Require Drilling Holes in Frame
  • The only rails that won't require drilling a hole in your frame on either side are the Demco Premier Series Above-Bed Base Rails and Custom Installation Kit for 5th Wheel Hitches # DM8552012-71. This kit mounts to the existing holes in your frame. The only tradeoff is the higher price point. If you don't mind the additional cost then this is the way to go. If you would like to save some money and don't mind drilling 2 extra holes then I would stick with the # C16418-204

  • Replacement Base Rail Brackets For A Curt E-16 Hitch In A 2013 GMC Sierra
  • Since you're looking at base rail kits I'm assuming you're looking the brackets that mount the rails to the frame of your Sierra. If your have Curt rails ( # C16104 or # C16204) then you'll need part # C16400 for a 1500 or part # C16411 for a 2500/3500. If you have different rails I would need to know the exact model in order to find the appropriate brackets. If you're looking for something else then just take a picture of it and send me it and I'd be happy to look for a replacement.

  • Help Identifying Underbed Fifth Wheel Bracket Kit in Truck
  • Only shot at finding out what was there is if there are bracket still under the bed that would have part numbers or brands listed. I would be willing to bet it was a universal rail kit like the part # RP30035 which uses L-brackets that attach to the truck frame though.

  • How to Increase Cab Clearance When Towing a 5th Wheel Trailer with a 2004 GMC Sierra 6-1/2 Bed
  • In order to choose a replacement pin box for your '89 Featherlite Holiday Rambler you can either look for a pin box number on your current pin box (like 1621 or 0719 for example) but if you can't locate a number the next best thing to do is take measurements of your pin box. If you can measure the width, distance from the center of the king pin to the first set of installed bolts, and then the distance between bolt holes horizontally and vertically I can use the table from the linked helpful
