Best Jeep JK Wrangler Trailer Wirings

I installed a trailer brake kit on my Ford Ranger over a year ago, finding the misc parts and install kit with the help of the etrailer Folks. My truck was rear ended recently, smashing the 7 pin connector, that came as one part number for multiple parts, mounted through the bumper. Calling the etrailer folks, they were able to single out the part I needed without buying the entire install kit again. One five minute phone call and I'm on my way again! Very pleased!

I just had to clip a few wires and it plugged into the 4 prong connector on the van and it works as it should

The plug is different from original cord. Doesn’t look as good but we’ll see how it works. 1st new cord

I bought this with the Hopkins receiver for the truck side. They work great together. Makes a nice tight connection that works great. The help I got at Etrailer is top notch from answering my questions to tracking my package. I would buy again from them.

This was easy to install looks great and works excellent. have had on issues with this product my trailer lights are always working and keeping me safe.

I didn't use the male end, it's in the tool box for later use. I used the female end on the front of my Jeep GC for the light hook up to my motorhome. I used mounting bracket #118137 and wiring harness RM-154 to complete the wiring part of the set up. Everything installed nicely, and a year later is still working great.

Not using on a trailer, but making disconnect harness for quick attach snowblower to loader arm. Connection cord is 7 pin tractor trailer tether, Worked well.

Perfect adapter for pulling a hayride trailer!

I received this item in a plastic bag, for a few moments i wondered if it was a knock-off. I had done my home work and was sure that this item would be compatible with the socket on my John Deere 2013 5085M at the time I ordered it, not so. The 'holding ridge' at the plug-in end was not in the right position when fully inserted into the plug on the tractor. I sent multiple pictures to Pollack Technical Support but they were unable to assist me. I finally modified the item myself (something I really hate to do) so that it would fit the plug-in and be 'grasped' by the cover/holder on the tractor side. As I anticipated, the thickness of the plastic was inadequate to make the adaptation 'sweet', so I had to cover the resulting hole with silicone caulk.

Note to self: Always push brake pedal firmly before releasing parking brake. especially when Jeep is slightly uphill from Blue Ox tow bar. :-) This was a very quick fix, (unfortunately not quick enough, the wife saw me before I could hide it) maybe took 10 minutes total. A socket set and a small phillips screwdriver are all I needed for this replacement.

I rewired my light bar for my boat trailer with the items I purchased. Before I built the the light bar, every time I used my boat trailer I would waste valuable sailing or fishing time repairing faulty lights. The do not last long when you submerge them in salt water. This light bar now version 3.0 have given little trouble over the years

I just installed this on my 2015 Volvo XC70. I also used the Curt XC70 plug and Play for wire kit. I watch two of etrailers excellent insulation videos. Installing the hitch and both the wiring products took me around 3.5 hours. I think Curt products are great and they are reasonably priced! e-Trailer makes your DIY installations easy. You just need to take your time when removing interior panels and double check your work. I used Volvo's torque specs for the bumper parts when I installed the hitch. E-trailer doesn't stop with just hitches and wiring solutions, they have just about anything you need to load and haul overhead or behind safely. What about performance? E-trailers got you covered. If you get in a jam during the insulation, don't fret or worry, call the text at e-trailer and they'll walk you through it. This was very plug and play. As always mounting is usually the tricky part from one install to another from my experience. I was able to mount mine on my Jeeps factory bumper via some larger holes that were in the bottom of the bumper. I used some fender washers an a metal backing plate for my particular install.

Exactly what I was looking for. Easily connected to my existing 4-way without any additional wiring. The 7-way adapter bracket was the correct size, and the holes were pre-drilled for the right fit to connect to the existing bracket on the (U-Haul Installed) tow bar.

I have to say this is one quality product. I haven't used it yet however it is exactly what i need for my 8x30' camper which will be my permanent home on some land i own in a warmer climate. this is heavy duty wiring and plugs. fits the bill for me, i am so very happy i found this it will make my life easier, i thought i was going to have to rewire my trailer till I found this set. This 7-way upgrade kit with junction box came a mere 2 days after I ordered it, which is great. The entire connector set came nicely assembled and it has everything I need to easily connect it in place of my damaged 7-way cord & connector. This upgrade will assure easy replacement should I squish my cord with my tailgate again. All I will need to do is solder the provided connectors to my existing wire set and get 2 bolts to bolt the box to the 5th wheel hitch. This kit is very robust and is even better than I expected.

The quality of the box is amazing. I ordered another one for a different trailer and the plastic box construction is much thicker and heavy duty feeling. The other one I ordered was from Amazon

If I had watched the video I would not have purchased this connector. It says 0-5 feet, but it's only 3 feet. Additionally the 6-pole round end is female, which will not connect to your trailer/TOAD six-pin female socket. I couldn't find an adapter so ended up having to buy a completely new system at the last minute.
