17x46 Curt Cargo Carrier for 1-1/4" and 2" Hitches - Steel - 500 lbs
Took approx 20 min to assemble not very hard at all. Tools will be required. Sturdy/ looks good and plan to use it next month on a road trip. Took 6 days to ship even though it stayed in stock and ready to ship when ordered but I wasn’t in a rush so it’s all good!
I've been using this Cargo Carrier on my 4 Runner Venture for about a year now. I Purchased this item to haul extra gear to Nags Head from Northwestern Virginia. Installation was a breeze and it's very, very sturdy. I had two Yeti coolers packed with ice and drinks and there was no wobbling at all. I'm a 197 pounds and I was standing on it after I installed it just to check for durability and this thing is a beast. I also used this as a rod holder while on the beach and I caught a 6 foot black tip shark. Overall, I'm very pleased with this item and I would recommend to a friend.

24x60 Reese Cargo Carrier for 2" Hitches - Steel - 500 lbs
Sturdy product. Plan on buying the light kit as well. Perfect for my 2012 Kia Sportage, allows me to transport things that I don't want to put in the vehicle (i.e. gas cans, propane tank, etc...).
The rack is much bigger than my previous one. I was disappointed that it was made in China instead of the USA. It assembled very easily and the light kit works very well. The only draw back is I can no longer open my tailgate with the rack installed due to the spare tire hitting the raised rack.

32x48 Reese Solo Cargo Carrier for 2" Hitches - Steel - 400 lbs
I received the package in a pretty rough exterior condition but everything was fine inside. The previous comments about having to cut away the expanded metal flooring in order to install the carriage bolts wasn't true in my case. Apparently, this quality control issue has been addressed by the manufacturer. Assembly went well and wasn't complicated. A different carriage bolt with a longer square shoulder should be used. The shoulder doesn't grip too well to the square cutout in the frame and even while pressing firmly on the head of the bolt, it wanted to turn as I was tightening the nut. All in all, it seems to be a solid product and I look forward to using it.
I wish the load capacity was a bit higher, but overall I am satisfied with the cargo carrier. It is perfect for lugging my two dog crates behind my vehicle instead of inside the vehicle. Thank you for offering a dimensionally larger cargo carrier than most retailers.

We just installed our carrier. We love that this is going to free up a lot of space for our vacation traveling. Very heavy duty and bigger than i was thinking it would be.The pin that holds the carrier in the hitch was not included. It would have been an added bonus if it was.

20x59 Curt Cargo Carrier for 2" Hitches - Steel - Folding - 500 lbs
Bought this and a hitch for my 2016 KIA Sportage for a trip to Florida. This was exactly as described and I can't wait to leave next week. I've always wanted one of these since I do a lot of camping and kayaking and extra space is never a bad thing.
Went together easy and real sturdy rack. Fits perfectly on our kia

24x60 etrailer Cargo Carrier for 2" Hitches - Steel - Tilting - Folding - 500 lbs
Super disappointed in this etrailer purchase. The product came in a large box that was fully intact and not damaged. The actual cargo basket was meticulously wrapped and appeared to be brand new as expected. The other components however, like the arm, were in boxes that were smashed, old, worn, and had multiple layers of old tape. The arm itself was scratched and banged up, even rusty in spots. Clearly it was used or had been a returned item. If I wanted a dented, gouged, and rusty Cargo Carrier I would have purchased one used, for half the price. This is not the quality I expect from etrailer.. I have purchased many racks and other items from this company and usually the quality is outstanding. This time they dropped the ball. I have since read other reviews and it is apparent that this is not an isolated incident. I'd have sent it back if it wasn't so damn heavy and awkward to lug around.
Holds all my gear. Just what I was hoping for. Now my dogs have the car all to themselves. Really bummed that there are "Made in China" stickers all over it. I went with etrailer because I thought they were a USA company. I guess no one can turn down that cheap slave labor. Hopefully my gear does not end up on the highway.

Ultra-Fab Dirt Bike Carrier for 2" Hitches - With Ramp - 77" Long - 500 lbs
I can't say I'm entirely happy with my purchase. The instructions were more confusing than helpful. Note in "instruction.jpg" photo of STEP 1 that the text says to put the 8 small bolts in from the inside first, but the drawing clearly shows them as going in from the outside. The last step says to place the ramp onto the receiver as shown.... glad I didn't throw away the box because there is no drawing that shows ramp installation. Actually, the photo on the box was more helpful than any of the instructions. Also, I need to make a trip to the hardware store to buy longer medium bolts because the ones that came with the carrier were not long enough to fully engage the self locking feature of the nylon lock nuts. At a minimum a couple of threads should protrude beyond the nylon. See photo "nut.jpg". The bolt threads don't reach the end of the nylon, so the self locking feature is not fully engaged. I did tighten the nut, but that was as far as it would go. I think once I get back from the hardware store with the new medium bolts and after I reverse the 8 small bolts (I followed the drawing and not the text of the instructions), I'll be OK with the carrier.
"Instantly Get Rid of Wobble and Upgrade With Lights" This is not a 5 because ramp should be longer & there should be some type stabilizer to temporary hold bike while strapping down, I'd pay more for those upgrades. The wobble can instantly be solved by hooking Tie-Straps closest to vehicle directly to the receiver where you hook your chains, rather than hooking them to the provided holes on carrier itself. You of course use the provided strap holes ones on the opposite side. When strapped down as stated, the carrier now becomes one with the vehicle & @ 80mph there is no wobble. (*TIP: Put ramp back in its place before strapping down or else it won't fit with the strap hooks in the way.) I upgraded mine with lights for both safety reasons & not needing the Police any reason to pull me over. It was very simple and cost me nothing but time & maybe $50. I recommend this product whole heartedly.

Great quality and serves its purpose. I wish I ordered the slightly bigger one to fit the bins and items I use it for. For example, a white standard igloo cooler doesn’t fit the way I need it to maximize loading capacity. I highly recommend a stabilizer to prevent wobble.

How's it going, neighbors This is Ed here with etrailer.com, and we're taking a look at the Flint Hill Goods Aluminum Cargo Basket on the back of our 2023 Kia Sportage. What a cargo basket is gonna do for you, especially in a vehicle that's more like one of these compact SUVs, it's gonna allow you to get an increase on your capacity for cargo. You can have a space for those bigger, bulkier items or those heavier dirty items that you just don't want to get in the interior of your vehicle. Our carrier is constructed of extruded aluminum, which is gonna give you a lot more stability as far as the pressures of being on the road and holding your gear. On the back here, you can see that you have two additional reflectors that are gonna help you keep your visibility up and a nice solid post along the sides to tie down if you have any things like ratchet straps or bungee cords. The bottom of your tray is pretty open, so if you have some smaller, finer items, you may want to use a cargo bag or look for an option that has more of a mesh bottom to it.
Reese 24x60 Hitch Cargo Carrier Review - 2023 Kia Sportage
How's it going neighbors This is Ed here with etrailer.com and we're taking a look at the Reese Steel Cargo Basket on our 2023 Kia Sportage. Adding a cargo carrier to the back of your vehicle is a great way to increase your cargo area. When you have a compact SUV like the Kia Sportage, this is a great way to make it work for getting those bigger, bulkier items or even possibly dirty items that you don't want getting your nice vehicle all filthy. Taking a closer look at the construction, we have a powder coated stainless steel with a gloss finish that's gonna hold up against corrosion and just the elements of being out on the road. Another cool feature is the fact that you have welded on brackets if you wanted to add additional taillights for higher visibility. Along the sides you're gonna have great tie-down points that are welded into the frame.
What our customers are saying:
"The trailer hitch mounted cargo carrier is an outstanding accessory. It allowed us to bring so much more on vacation. The side rails made securing things really easy and the auxiliary taillight kit plugged right into my plug. The service was so great that I just ordered a trailer hitch cover for the winter. Thanks!"
