RoadMaster 4-Wire Connector - Vehicle End
We just finished a makeover of our 1995 boat trailer. New bunks, sanded and painted but the best part of the project was the new LED lights from your company. They are so much brighter than the old incandescent bulbs that you really do feel safer driving down the road. We pulled the 20 year old wire out and replaced with new and used the 3M scotch loks to tie in. We were not sure the new style grommets would fit the old holes in the frame but they fit great. Your customer service was great, alerting me to a backordered reflector but recommended a replacement that worked fine. Patrick set up a Q&A page for me since I had questions about the best way to protect connections with dielectric grease, heat shrink and tape. Your website is one of the best with ease of navigation, complete pictures, great selection and thorough info, dimensions, etc. You guys really have your act together and also offer great value. I would not hesitate to purchase again and will recommend you when I can. I have attached a couple of pictures. Thanks for all your help. Wayne N.
Easy to install and works great.

Pollak 6-Pole, Round Pin, Plastic Trailer Wiring Socket w/ Rubber Boot - Vehicle End
This part is an exact replacement to the part that failed. The failure was caused by a poor installation which allowed the rubber boot to chaff on the truck frame. As it was an exact replacement installation was straight forward although I modified the mounting bracket to prevent a reoccurrence of the problem.
I found what I thought I needed on the website to prepare our car to be flat towed, but wanted to call to verify. After a short phone call, eTrailer saved me about $50 and got me the stuff I actually needed to get the job done! I won’t shop anywhere else!

Pollak Heavy-Duty, 4-Pole, Round Pin Socket, Concealed Terminals - Chrome - Vehicle End
Items were simply “thrown in the box” WITH the hitch which was not secured properly. Heavy hitch then bounced around on electrical connectors, destroying them. Components should have been fastened to the hitch as the hardware kit was with strong tape instead of just thrown into the box by somebody! Refund issued.
Product arrived on time and as described. I used this for setting up our 2014 Wrangler Unlimited Sahara for a flat tow. Mounting hole spacing @ 2" o/c didn't match our Blue Ox 1126 draw bar so I fabricated my own intermediate bracket, polished it to aircraft tooling standards, then lacquered it before final assembly. I think the finished product came out nice.

Hopkins Endurance 6-Way Trailer Connector Socket - Vehicle End - Ergonomic Design
The stuff not here
Very difficult to make the wiring connections, I was afraid I’d have problems on down the road so, I took it out of circuit and threw it away

Hopkins Endurance 7-Way Trailer Connector Socket - Vehicle End - Ergonomic Design
Well I wasn't able to use this as there was no good place to install on my car without it practically dragging. Not a product problem at all. I tried to return and customer service was fast and super helpful... unfortunately return shipping would eat up any refund. So.. I get to keep it. good quality and product. Very happy with it and wish I could use it. Will keep it for sometime in the future when of course I will need it.
I do not recommend this product. I bought this for my truck. It seems to be the nicest looking plug on the market but after the first rain, the plug was filled with water. I changed the location from the hitch to the bumper and once again the plug was filled with water after it rained. This condition will obviously lead to terminals corroding and/or wires being shorted out. I have bought a different style plug, unfortunately the same brand but hopefully I will have better luck. May be able to drill a small drain hole in the casing to allow water to escape but shouldn't have to do this on a new product.

Pollak Black Plastic, 7-Pole, RV-Style Trailer Connector - Trailer End
Sooo, bought another one to match my truck side connection as GM uses Pollak, which are known to not play well with other brands. The design is just a wire clamp to wire it, which I did with the first one, but trying to get it secured I stripped out the screw. There are no torque specs provided. I’ll move to crimped ring terminals on this one and dial back the torque a bit.
Routine trailer maintenance. Absolutely nothing worse than fighting trailer lighting or electric brake issues when traveling.

Hopkins Endurance Multi-Tow 7-, 5- and 4-Way Flat Trailer Connector - Vehicle End - Ergonomic Design
Works great and etrailer folks did an outstanding job with quick turnaround and communication…thank you!
Exactly what we had been looking for. Now I can hook up multiple trailers with different connectors and all the electrics on each trailer works. I mounted mine directly to the receiver hitch frame. The biggest challenge for us was routing the backup wire from the taillight housing, through the body of the truck to the connector. the rest went together fairly easily. Seems to be pretty solid and looks much better than the loose pigtail connector it replaced.

Pollak 6-Pole, Round Pin, Trailer Wiring Socket - Exposed Terminals w/ Rubber Boot -Vehicle End
Used this as the connection point for the Roadmaster diode wiring kit. Seems to be well made and will hopefully last a long time. I did spray paint it flat black so it blends into the front bumper of my “toad” a little better.
The documentation for wiring is limited and difficult to read without magnification. Otherwise this is well made and works perfectly.

Hopkins Endurance 7-Way Blade Trailer Connector w/ Holder - Trailer End - Ergonomic Design
I loved the concept of a robust RV style plug with holder. Unfortunately the design is flawed to three different failure modes. My trailer has the heavy duty, 7 conductor wire used in larger trucks. 1) The first failure occurred by using a too small a screw to hold the sides together. It's design is split down the middle with only the center screw to hold it together. Rain easily gets inside the connector as the split shell design is too thin and opens up at the slightest change of cable angle. 2) The screw strips easily as well. 3) The blade connectors inside the plug are not well retained and can slip back into the connector. This is especially exciting with the ground wire, as trailer brakes are important going down hill. I would not recommend this product and replaced mine with a cheaper, more robust design that I have used over the years.
Don't buy this product if you wiring cord covering the seven wires going to your traileris heavy duty. You will have a VERY difficult time terminating the wires in the plug and then getting everything back together. The plastic handle on the back of the plug and the metal frame that it mounts to leave almost no room for the wiring.

7-Way Round RV Style Trailer Connector - Trailer Side
I was expecting blade connectors as shown in the pictures and video and that is the main reason I purchased this item. Instead it had screw connectors.
Works great, easy to install
