Draw-Tite Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - 2"
The hitched arrived three days early and I was able to install it in less than 2 hrs with a little help from my wife and a floor jack. Perfect fit!! No shimms necessary Vwrry happy.
The hitch installed easily on the front of my truck and has given me more versatility in using my truck. In the summer I carry 3 bikes on a hitch rack when I go camping. I also hook up a 12000 lb. winch when needed. Sometimes I use the front hitch when moving my boat. This is a very sturdy and reliable hitch. Etrailer customer service is excellent.

Curt Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - 2"
Installed on my 2010 Silverado. Installation video was most helpful. Took about 2 hours to install which could have been shortened if I would have followed directions and not tightened bolts until the end. Product is good and customer service was as well. Would highly recommend.
Curt Front Trailer Hitch arrived quite fast. The hitch is very sturdy and attaches to the sturdy tow hooks. The instructional video was very helpful especially for the step where you "fish" a bolt through the front frame rail. Turned out to be simple with the included fishwire. The video was for a 2007 Silverado but it was exactly the same as for my 2010 1500 Silverado. Best installed with a helper at one point on a lift, but I installed it by myself using a pair of wheel ramps, a creeper, and a small hydraulic jack to lift the hitch into place for fitting and installation. Why install a front hitch? When maneuvering a trailer in tight quarters, it is hard to do it with the trailer connected to the back of the tow vehicle. You have to keep straight which way to turn the steering wheel and the trailer's turning is slow to respond so you often turn too far and have to start over. With the trailer attached to the front of the vehicle, you can push the trailer into a tight place easily since the trailer responds immediately to steering changes. And, you can easily and immediately see the changes to the trailer's path. And you can also pull the trailer out of a tight path easily. I grew up on a farm always pulling and pushing trailers into exact spots. I quickly found how great a front end hitch is for maneuvering.

Delivery was super fast, instructions and instructional video was excellent. Installed my new part in less than 40 minutes
Great front receiver hitch for my Chevy Silverado 2500 HD. Everything fit using OE bolts and nuts. Only the plastic trim had to be cut out to fit receiver. I had dealer do it, but would have done it myself when I was younger. etrailer is easy to order from and has good customer service.

Curt Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - 2"
I have a 2006 Silverado 2wd LD truck and mounted a curt front trailer hitch ... I mounted both side plates first without tighten down.. I then mounted the 2" receiver section ... Tightened that down then, finished cranking down side brackets !!!!! Done !!!! However I did have to cut the backside of the tow hooks facia plastic with a jig saw no problem ... I never cut into the cup portion I just cut some of the extra plastic in the back off DONE !!!!!!!
Installation extremely easy, line up holes and bolt together, that simple. No trimming required. Purchase front hitch to park 29 FT. camper at a cramped storage facility. Dropping the camper off now is as easy as picking up the camper. All parts well packed. Website easy to use, prices are right and easy to track shipment. Would purchase from website again.

Curt Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - 2"
I had been waiting to find this Curt hitch on sale for a while. First off I get to keep the hooks that came with my 2004 Silverado Crew cab 2500HD 4x4. Then I removed two existing bolts and loosened a third on each hook. Using a floor jack lifted the hitch into place and threaded in the new bolts through the frame and into the hooks. The biggest problem I had was being able to reach the bolts into the side of the frame and hooks w/out removing the air dam. Looks GREAT!! I know some reviews have mentioned a reduction in ground clearance but my truck is not lifted and the clearance is nearly the same as the transmission skid plate installed by the factory. I sometimes need to get low hard to see trailers into tight spaces and I’m also looking to pick up a winch. Looking forward to many years of hard work.
This was the easiest installation of the 10 or more hitches that I have installed. Four bolts out and replaced with four suppler bolts and washer. No modification of the air dam needed. I needed some washers (supplied) between the frame and the receiver as spacers. I recommended that you figure out how many you need (1 or 2 per side), then lower it down and tape them in place to hold them in place and push the bolts through the tape after you lift it back in place. Cover the ground with a rug or cardboard to keep from scratching the receiver when it’s on the ground before you lift it into place.

Very sturdy hitch, extremely easy install. If you already have your air dam removed there is no cutting or modification at all, completely bolt on. Make sure you have both front load bearing washers centered before you completely bolt down the hitch. I didn't need any alignment washers on the back brace it was very level as is, if you are using this for winching keep in mind it will affect your approach exit angles. Overall a great product!
Easy install and does the job I want it to!

It arrived in a timely manner and everything was there. But just like other reviews the packaging was weak and the receiver hitch was able to move around inside the oversize box, but thats was no big deal. Also like other reviews the bolts are too short. Tightened all the way down, the bolt is just a thread short of being flush with the nut. Which is disappointing to know after the reviews stating as such. I thought e-trailer would have rectified that. But it's on, and seems to be strong and good fit.
Great Product! Fast delivery

It probably took less than an hour to mount including drilling the two holes in the rear. I’m using it to mount my Home Plow. Works like a champ.
Fits perfectly on my Z71 with a 30 minute install with no helpers. I was worried about ground clearance but it fits snugly under the bumper trim and sits higher than the guard panels that are directly behind the hitch. The front mounted hitch option was suggested by 2 people when confronted with stowing a boat through a limited clearance gate in tight spaces.

Just what I was looking for. Thank you.
I ordered these two, front and rear for a 1990 GEO Tracker 4 wheel drive that I am rebuilding. I believed they would fit, I finally got around to mounting them and they don't fit, to large. I think I have had them to long to return them.

Ordered the same hitch from Amazon, and showed up not J-Pin ready, with (1) hole drilled for a hitch pin against the weld. Can't run the nut flush because of the interference with the weld bead, and no 7/16" hole present. Returned it. Ordered another one from etrailer direct. Called in the order to make sure they QC'd prior to shipping. Assured me they would. Box never opened, and the same nonsense showed up. Not happy, trying to work it out.
Fit Perfectly, super easy to install, and super fast shipping! Holds Hollywood Bike Rack Great and very solid for my two E-bikes. Thank you etrailer!

Love it! It was very easy to install. 30 minutes max. The fish wire worked great. This will make it very easy to maneuver my boats into tight garage.
Product is great! Exceeds my expectations for ease of installation and performance. I removed the 3” spoiler completely vs cutting for hitch. The key is to “dry fit” in place and use a metal punch to mark all your drill holes. Wire bolt feeder worked great for installing bolts. I used the hitch to mount my eight pole rod & cooler holder for surf fishing.

Draw-Tite Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - 2"
Fits perfectly, i like that it comes with the guide wires makes it all go smooth and easy! Install was maaaybe 30minutes and super simple, using it for winch set up, it is perfect (1993 chevy 1500 silverado extended cab) no modifications needed to my truck! Definitely a cheaper solution than to buying a modified bumper for winching. Nice sturdy product.
my draw-tite front mount trailer hitch 2" receiver was shipped promptly and arrived as promised. My 1997 chev Silverado 4x4 has a 34" frame. It was easy to install in less than an hour with no drilling required. My tow hooks had long enough bolts for me to reuse them so I only had to use 2 rear bolts. If they had not fit it would have required I buy longer bolts.

Very happy after a year of using this front mount hitch on my 2019 Silverado 3500HD. We carry a full size truck camper in the bed and this front hitch allows us to take our bicycles with us whenever we go camping. We did one very successful trip of over 11,000 miles in 2019. No problems with this hitch at all. Would highly recommend.
Purchased a Curt Front Receiver for a 2015 Silverado 2500. Came with all necessary parts and tools to install. Installed in about one hours time with common home tools. No cutting or welding required. Works well.

Draw-Tite Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - 2"
I bought this receiver to add front mounted 'accessories' on my 2007 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited Sahara. I plan on using this to add an extra bicycle rack, a cargo basket, a receiver mounted winch or other 'accessories' needed for my Jeep when I take my family camping. It will also be useful for "front launching" a boat or parking a trailer in tight spots. It took me about an hour to install, although I had already previously removed the lower wind deflector cowling, so did not have to spend time removing it or cutting it for a finished look. Detaching and moving the top trim panel between the grill and the bumper is a must to facilitate the installation. The receiver fits pretty close, although you do have to manipulate it to get the holes to line up with the frame. Follow the instructions and do not tighten any of the bolts until you get it lined up and all the bolts in loosely, then torque it down. As noted in the instruction sheet, the driver's side of the receiver does not sit flush against the frame, there is about a 1/4" to 5/8" gap. The instructions say to use the extra split washers (in the kit) as filler, but they would just rattle around loose in there and provide any benefit, so I omitted them. Once tightened down, the receiver tube was not parallel to the ground, it is slightly higher in the front, sloping towards the rear. It is not off enough to affect my intended use, but may be bothersome to those with type 'A' attention to detail. Overall a good product that will add a lot of flexibility to my Jeep~
Relatively easy install. Just have to be mechanically inclined. We use the hitch to carry a fish rack/cooler on a 2011 Jeep Wrangler. So far so good.

Draw-Tite Front Mount Trailer Hitch Receiver - Custom Fit - 2"
I chose Draw-tite because they are built very well and this one is no different. The welds are done well and I have no fear that this product will serve me well. The install wasnt to bad for a DIY type like me and the fit was excellent, only took a few hours. Knowing that I can now be pulled out of a bad situation or pull someone else out is comforting with the help of a hitch mounted winch. The Price was right and etrailer shipped it out fast although packing could use a smaller box . Oh yeah, UPS sure tested the toughness of this receiver ! . Great product and great service from etrailer
im very satisfied with my front receiver. ive used it as a recovery point,to move trailers, and as a mount for bike rack and cargo holder. if i had a winch platethat would be very handy too. etrailerhad a fair price, quick shipping, and overall great customer service. i would use them again andrecommend to a friend as well.

Needed a front hitch for a 2006 Ridgeline Honda truck. I found it on etrailer.com and a better price for same hitch on another online store. As I talked with the customer service agent, I was also offered a discount which was quite a surprise. Shipping was very fast. Had it installed on my truck so I could attach a mounting hitch and snow blade. I am extremely happy with this hitch and etrailer.com.
We live just south of Buffalo and Put this on our '11 Honda Ridgeline with a snowsport plow and a week later it snowed, and snowed and snowed... 5 feet in 24 hours and it's still snowing.... It's not good.... It's AWESOME! Not one driveway or even our street is clear... Except ours. It was easy to put together , easy to install and works exactly like it's advertised! It's November and it paid for itself already. Communication with etrailer was exceptional. We could not be happier with the whole setup.

I installed this on the front of a 2018 F350. Fit an finish is great. Install was easy and directions simple to follow. Having another set of hands was very helpful, else it would be a balancing act I imagine. No drilling needed except for the cutout in the valence. My use is a cargo basket for four bikes and a kayak rack when pulling my fifth wheel. I have a receiver splitter that allows me to have both the basket and Yak rack mounted at the same time. Load up the toys and go...
A tight fit with the bash plates on my 2023 Ford F250. I also cut a 3 inch square air dam hole instead of 3 1/2. But had to extend the top of the hole due to the slope of the dam. The hitch pin hole barely clears the air dam. The hitch pin clip will rub on the air dam.

Unfortunately the item I wanted wasn't in stock at etrailer, but I had time before I wanted to install the item, a front mount hitch. The vendor was on time with supplying the hitch and etrailer shipped the hitch in a timely manner. It arrived yesterday evening and I installed it today. I've installed three front hitches, all from etrailer Curt and Draw-Tite I believe over the past few years. Two this year. The first picture is the front hitch on a 1998 E-450 class C motor home, the second picture is on a 2002 Ford F-350 pickup truck.
The video explaining the install was very helpful, thank you! One additional step, which I had to do, REMOVE the front bumper. Four bolts, and it is off. This makes the removal of the front leaf spring nut MUCH easier, esp. if working alone. Now the disappointing part. My winch, which is a Re-Con, Brute force (17,500 lb rating) was half a hole short from being able to pin. I removed the winch carrying handles and the front licence plate. This allowed the stinger to slide forward in the receiver the extra little bit. It now fits fine. I have other vehicles the winch mounts on, so I elected to go this route and it will be fine. It is a bit of a pain, but only will have to deal with it once or twice per year. I just threw the plate in the front window in case I get pulled over. My truck has towing loops which extend through the bumper, so I can not slide the plate to the side of the winch.

Road tested 4000 miles & off-road, Solid, Great ! I always wanted a front hitch, it is rad ! We had a great experience across the board. Ordered the front hitch mount and had a mechanic (Weld Tech/San Diego) install it, because they already had our van to install their lift kit. They charged me one hour labor. I can see that it fits well and is solid. We went on a 4000 mile adventure with a small motorcycle on the front hitch. etrailer has been a good source for for a few things now.
I own a 2003 Ford E-450 RV cutaway and wanted a front hitch to carry our bicycles since our rear hitch is used for a trailer. I originally tried to mount the equivalent Curt front hitch, because of its cheaper cost, onto the vehicle. However, the Curt hitch wouldn't work because it can't adequately accommodate the slight downward hump in the truck's frame. This hump can barely be seen between the two hitch mounting bolts. The hump is on both the left and right side frame rails on my vehicle. If your frame is not totally flat (has even a small hump) you cannot use the Curt hitch. The Curt's small indentation on its mounting flange will not adequately accommodate the frame's hump. This Draw-Tite hitch, 65001, mounted perfectly on my vehicle and the installation procedures I used were exactly as depicted in the etrailer video for the E350 van. In the video, the technician uses a rotary file to expand the rearward holes to allow the insertion of the bolts. I had to do the same thing and bought a rotary file for my drill at my local home improvement store for less than $3. I did not have to use the rotary file on the forward holes. In addition, I have the larger Roadmaster front sway bar and steering stabilizer and as you can tell in the photo, there is plenty of room for the hitch.
