Hey Luis! I went ahead and attached an installation video further down on this page for a 2017 Acura RDX. This is with the Curt # C13130 but it shares the same design as our etrailer # e24AR so the steps are the same.
What will you be using the hitch for? view full answer...
No, it won't. Those directions are for the 2020 Acura RDX's that have the 18" spare tire, not all of them came with full size spare tires. The tire's in the way when you install the hitch so it has to come out. All of the hitches, item # C95CR, item # e72AR, and item # 36114, that fit your RDX will not allow the full size spare to be reinstalled. view full answer...
Robert, the etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver part # e72AR is a confirmed fit for your 2020 Acura RDX Advanced Package, but I do want to set the right expectation regarding the hands-free liftgate feature. Because the hitch receiver installs in the same area as the factory kick sensor, there is a chance the sensor's functionality could be reduced or even lost after installation. I know that's probably disappointing to hear, especially since the hands-free liftgate is such a convenient feature.

Hey Marc! Between the Curt item # C11496 and the Draw-Tite item # 24899, I would go with the Draw-Tite Hitch item # 24899 because you see less of it after it's installed. Functionally, they both install in the same way and have the same capacities. The Draw-Tite is just tucked back in farther beneath your Acura.
Either way you go you will be limited to 1,000 lbs of towing capacity including your bike and trailer. Your 2014 Acura TL tops out at 1,000 lbs for towing capacity and you will... view full answer...
Hello Scott,
I googled "2009 Acura MDX rear Sport Bumper trim" and was able to find it is simply an option that you would have had when you got the car. That said if you got it used you wouldn't know that but yes, your VIN should be able to let you know. The Sport Bumper was just an added piece of trim though, and based on your photo you do not have it and can certainly install the etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e26AR. view full answer...
Hey David, thanks for reaching out!
We don't currently have an installation video of any trailer wiring kits on a 2018 Acura TLX. With that being said, I recommend picking up the T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness # 118697 because it tees in behind your tail lights and draws power directly from the battery via a designated wire.
For someone who's new to wiring you can count on it taking about an hour, but if you're familiar with wiring you'll be looking at about 30 minutes. If this is completely... view full answer...
Thanks for reaching out, Bill!
According to my research you'll have some blunt cut wires under the driver side dash of your 2022 Acura MDX that you'll need to splice the Prodigy P3 # 90195 wiring to, as there aren't any custom adapters for it. You'll just need to connect the following wires from the P3 pigtail to the following functions:
Blue - 7-Way Output to Trailer
Black - 12V Power
White - Ground
Red - COLD Side of Stop Light Switch (only gets hot when brake pedal is pressed) view full answer...
While we have not had a 2021 Acura TLX in our shop to provide you this measurement Joseph, I took some measurements of the Draw-Tite Sportframe Trailer Hitch Receiver # DT68GR which will help you to determine exactly where the hitch is going to sit. You will want to use the installation instructions linked near the bottom of this page to find the rear mounting holes on your frame. From there the end of the receiver is going to sit 9-1/8" back from the center of the mounting hole. To determine... view full answer...
Hey Scott,
Tongue weight is the downward force on the trailer hitch when hauling a trailer or hitch mounted accessory. The etrailer Trailer Hitch Receiver # e98840 can accommodate up to 900lbs so a 500lb loaded up motorcycle carrier would fall within its capabilities. view full answer...
Currently(6/13/2024), the only 4-way wiring option for your 2024 Acura MDX is the Curt # C59236. The Tekonsha # 118800 you found is for the RDX models. I have linked an installation video near the bottom of this page you can reference to decide if it is something you wish to undertake. view full answer...
