Hey Michael, so the Hollywood Racks Destination part # HLY94FR is not ideal for a carbon bike as it would need to grab the bike by the carbon frame which is most likely going to cause some damage. A better option is a bike rack that grabs the bikes by the tires like the Swagman Okanagan 125 part # S36SR which is a similar in price as I can find to the Destination. view full answer...
Hey Dean,
The Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch Receiver # 36530 has a 2" spacing from the center of the hitch pin hole to the back end of the receiver tube so it should have more than enough space for the shank of the Swagman Chinook Bike Rack # S64683. I would check the receiver tube to see if there's some overspray or weld spatter inside of the receiver tube preventing the shank from fully slotting into place. Are there are any scratches on the shank of the bike rack? view full answer...
The Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver # C13303 actually doesn't fit your 2014 Lexus ES.
If you have an ES 350 then the Draw-Tite trailer hitch those fits is part # 36530 which measures 9-1/8" from the top of the mounting brackets to the bottom of the mounting brackets. From the top of the mounting brackets to the receiver though is 8-1/8".
For an ES 300h the only trailer hitch that fits is the Curt # C11362 which has an overall height measurement of 8-3/16".
Attached are installation instructions... view full answer...
Hey Andy, thanks for reaching out!
The Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch Receiver # 36643 unfortunately will not fit your 2023 Lexus ES 350 F Sport model, according to Draw-Tite.
If you let me know what you're wanting to use the hitch for I'd be happy to see if we have any alternative solutions for you! view full answer...
Trunk mounted bike racks are all limited to carrying up to 35 lb bikes. For heavier E-bikes you'd need a hitch mounted E-bike rack like the Thule EasyFold XT part # TH903202 which has the higher weight capacity. view full answer...
Hey Larry that's quite a bit of rise! They don't make those for 1-1/4" hitches but I can get you closeish.
You'll want to start with the Curt Class I Drawbar item # C45024. It has a 5" rise from the top of the inside of the hitch receiver. This ball mount extends out 9-9/16" from the hitch pin hole to the center of the hitch ball.
For a hitch ball, you'll want to use the Curt RockerBall Shock Absorbing 2" Hitch Ball item # C94CR. This will gain you an extra 1-1/2" of height over a standard... view full answer...
Hi Joseph; I'm sorry to say that none of the custom fit hitches for the 2021 Lexus ES 350 fit the F Sport trim. Also, there are no kits available to make them compatible. I don't have the specifics but it is likely a difference with the exhaust or you would have to butcher the rear bumper to make it fit. The only solution is to take a hitch fabrication receiver like the # E-911 to a local fabricator and have them fashion a custom hitch for your vehicle. view full answer...
Hey Ted, congrats on the new car! We hear this complaint quite often from customers about dealerships.
The Lexus ES 350 started out as an upgraded Toyota Camry but is more comparable to the longer Avalon at this point. Curt's been recommending their item # C11576 hitch for the ES 350's since 2023 with no issues. We haven't had a chance to install this hitch but have heard from multiple customers it works great.
The Curt Hitch item # C11576 is custom fit for the 2025 Lexus ES 350, including... view full answer...
Hey Allan, for an e-bike rack that is rated for use at the rear of a flat towed vehicle the Hollywood Racks RV Rider part # HLY64FR would be a really great option. It does seem odd that some bike racks aren't rated to be used at the rear of a flat towed vehicle but what the bike rack manufacturers have told us is that there is a bit of back and forth sway at the rear of flat towed vehicles which causes issues. view full answer...
We do have a few trunk mount bike rack options for your 2024 Lexus ES 350, and out of our selection I recommend the Saris Bones EX 2 Bike Rack # SAR83FR.
I like this rack over the other options because of the shape of the upper arms. They have a bend in them which just gives you more of a direct placement of the weight of the rack instead of the traditional curved arms that do more leaning.
If any of your bikes is a kid's or alternative frame style then you'll also need an adapter bar... view full answer...
We don't have any alternative with a more hidden crossbar from any of our manufacturers so the aesthetics are basically choosing between the options available for your vehicle. In my opinion the Curt hitch # C11362 is a slightly better look than the Draw-Tite # 36530. I have attached photos of each to assist. For some the round crossbar of the Curt is less noticeable than the square tube crossbar of the Draw-Tite. You cannot move them closer to the backseat as you stated because of... view full answer...
The Curt Trailer Hitch, part # C11362 is designed to fit a 2013 - 2016 Lexus ES 350, and 2013 - 2016 Lexus ES 300h Hybrid. If this is the vehicle you are asking about then the C11362 will work for you. It does require permanent removal of the heat shield.
If you have an ES 350 model, we do offer an alternative. You can use the Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch, part # 36530. This is a Class ll hitch and it has a 1-1/4 inch receiver opening. The installation of this hitch requires the temporary removal... view full answer...
I have a solution but the Hidden Hitch Trailer Hitch Receiver 90072 you referenced will not fit your vehicle, and currently there is not a Hidden Hitch trailer hitch receiver that is made to fit your 2017 Lexus ES 350.
The only two options made for your vehicle are the Curt Trailer Hitch Receiver Class I #C11362 and the Draw-Tite Trailer Hitch Receiver Class II # 36530. Hidden Hitch and Draw-Tite are owned by the same company and are the same part. Both trailer hitch receivers will be... view full answer...
For the 2016 Lexus ES 350 I recommend Draw-Tite trailer hitch # 36530 for a few reasons. First, it is a Class II hitch which means you are not limited to carrying just 2 bikes like you would with Curt hitch # C11362. And second if you did use the Curt hitch then Curt requires the use of stabilization strap # 18050 when using the hitch for anything other than a trailer. Draw-Tite does not have that requirement.
The way the hitches had to be designed to fit the 2016 ES 350 means that there... view full answer...
Yes, there is! Since your 2024 Lexus ES 350 does not have rails or the glass roof top you can use the roof rack by Yakima which includes the following parts:

BaseClip Fit Kit for Yakima BaseLine Roof Rack Towers - Qty 2 item # Y06143

This is the first time I have heard of this issue on the Thule Sidearm. The first thing I recommend checking is that the locks are seated all the way into the housing. Use the change key, # 853-1251 if you need it, to pull the locks out and put them back in.
There also could be damage to the mechanism which could occur if someone tried to turn the lock beyond its natural positions, used excessive force, or if some crud got in there and gummed up the works. Similarly, if the arm was pushed... view full answer...
The Yakima JetStream Crossbar System composed of part # Y00425, part # Y28TR, part # Y06175, and part # Y06160 is a confirmed fit 2013 Lexus ES 350 and a great option for carrying kayaks. In order to secure both kayaks, you'd need a few sets of j-style carriers for which I recommend the etrailer Kayak Roof Rack part # e98878. These are complete carriers that come with everything you need to secure the kayaks like tie-downs.
Please note, you should not open the sun roof with the roof rack... view full answer...
I took a look at the installation instructions for both the Curt # C12343 hitch and the Draw-Tite # 36416 hitch to see if any fascia would need to be trimmed, and the Curt mentions that it may require fascia trimming.
However, the Draw-Tite # 36416 will not, as you can see in the installation video I've linked showing the Draw-Tite being installed on a 2008 ES 350, which will be the same as on your '07 model. view full answer...
For your 2011 Lexus ES 350, the only available hitches are Class II 1-1/4 hitch receivers. Technology has advanced where 2" hitches are being designed for newer models, but for your vehicle, a Class II is as good as it gets.
The only solution here would be to use a hitch adapter # 80303 to turn your 1-1/4" into a 2" hitch. I would be cautious though, since this method halves your hitch capacity. Instead of 300lbs tongue weight, you will have 150 lbs tongue weight capacity. Rad Electric... view full answer...
